Julian McDonnell Subscribe

In this rather superb London walk Joolz takes you around Stoke Newington, famous for its dissenters, abolitionists and people with beards!
We start at Manor House and then down The New River.
There is a castle with resevoirs where you can swim and go boating.
Stink pipes
Clissold Park.
Stoke Newington Church Street.
George Leybourne, Champagne Charlie, the man on the flying trapeze and many famous people buried in Abney Park Cemetery.
People being buried alive, Edgar Allan Poe and Robinson Crusoe, with Daniel Defoe in the pillory.
The pizza company from Eat Pray Love, Leonard Nimoy (Spock) with a hit record and two churches called St Mary’s opposite each other.
Special appearance from History of Stokey’s Amir Dotan with his obsession with coal hole covers and Stoke Newington street signs and much much more!
