London’s City Wall and Barbican – Rather Splendid Walk

London’s City Wall and Barbican

Julian McDonnell Subscribe

A tremendous walk around London’s rather splendid ancient city wall built by the Romans alongside the modern Barbecan centre.

We pass the panyer boy who marks the highest point in the city of London (or does he?).
Christchurch Greyfriars which was never rebuilt after the war. Watts memorial to self sacrifice, livery companies, a buried head of a king and Shakespere’s house.
As usual there is a lot more with many interesting facts about London as we take a delightful walking tour around this area packed with London history.
