If it’s the first Sunday of the month and you want to see an excellent jazz band in a lovely old pub, come to The Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden!
The lamb and flag is Covent Garden’s oldest pub with a fascinating history, licensed in the reign of Elizabeth 1st! Don’t forget to visit the John Dryden room upstairs here you can dine, and which is named after the famous poet who was beaten up by a bunch of thugs hired by John Wilmot, the Earl of Rochester (who is played by Johnny Depp in The Libertine).
