Interesting London Benches

Interesting London Benches

Julian McDonnell Subscribe

Well, here’s a walk around some of my favourite memorial benches in London.
Most of them are in central London but some are a bit further out. I think it’s a nice way to remember people who have departed this life. There’s also the usual banter and other bits and pieces as we wander around London and discuss everything from Superman III to Noses of Soho.
Amongst the benches that we visit are the following:

Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill in New Bond Street.

Kirsty MacColl in Soho Square.

Spike Milligan in Finchley.

John Thaw in Covent Garden Actor’s Church.

Oscar Wilde in Charing Cross.

Camels and Sphinxes on the Embankment.

The Beatles in St. Pancras Gardens.

John Keats at Guy’s Hospital.

Alfred Salter in Rotherhithe / Bermondsey
