A more extensive London walk around Covent Garden looking at the history, vice and how it almost got destroyed to make way for a motorway. The Covent Garden Area Trust ensures that this will never happen again and asked me to talk about all the great buildings in Covent Garden and the debauched, fascinating, important, historical events it has seen down the years.
There’s the British Communist Party, Winnie the Pooh, The Queen’s toilet, Covent Garden Opera House and plenty of prostitution.
A trip to the London Transport Museum, Samuel Pepys, The King and his mistress, Casanova and Oscar Wilde and the invention of the police force.
Of course Covent Garden wouldn’t be the same with the entertainers.
